Hi, I’m Johannes.

I live near Hannover, Germany, and I write software for a living. The rest of the site is about the work. This page is mostly about everything else.

I’ve been building for the web for years now, most of it with Laravel, PHP and all the front-end stuff. These days I also spend a lot of that time building with AI.

I ride gravel and road bikes whenever I get the chance. I also take a lot of photos, on vacation for sure, but just as often of everyday things. Mostly with a Fujifilm X100VI: I love the film simulations, the design, and that it’s practical enough to actually have with me.

I play bass in a band that plays indie punk and guitar at home.

I like good coffee and make it at home with a portafilter espresso machine. I also enjoy typing on a silent mechanical keyboard way too much.

And I live with cats, which means my desk belongs to me only until one of them decides otherwise.
